Pokémon Masters EX today is launching a brand new Pasio Special Stadium, featuring battles against Champion Cheren and other trainers weak to the Electric-type. Following on the recent launch of the Zippity Zappity Collab Story Event, Elesa is also debuting her new Sygna Suit sync pair with Thundurus, in a limited-time Poké Fair Scout.

This episode of Pokémon Horizons is a more relaxed one compared to other action-packed episodes. This one doesn’t even involve pacifying any rampaging Pokémon at all. Instead, Liko and Roy work together to restore the Rising Volt Tacklers’ reputation. I do wonder if there is an intended pattern with these episodes. Since the Mega Voltage arc started, the even numbered-episodes revolved around Laquium-affected Pokémon, while the odd numbered episodes mainly focused on Trainer battles and the Rising Volt Tacklers’ reputation. I guess we'll know soon enough.

The second batch of Pokémon Horizons: Season 2—The Search for Laqua has now released exclusively on Netflix in the U.S. and other territories. Pokémon Horizons: Season 2—The Search for Laqua follows dual protagonists Liko and Roy grow as trainers as they continue their journey with the Rising Volt Tacklers to uncover the mysteries of the Pokémon world. This batch of episodes will see Liko, Roy, and Dot in the second phase of their Tera Training, on the path to getting stronger for the quest to Laqua.

Dynamax Entei is making its Pokémon GO debut in the Dynamax Entei Max Battle Weekend, taking place this weekend on Saturday April 26th, at 6:00am to Sunday April 27th, at 9:00pm local time. During this event, Dynamax Entei will appear in five-star Max Battles. Trainers may also encounter its Shiny variant.

In conjunction with the coming drop of Alolan Sitting Cuties to Pokémon Centers in Japan, The Pokémon Company is also showing off new bags in the perfect size to carry the plushes, and new accessories that fit on the plushes themselves. The new bags will be arriving in-store on May 10th, and to the Pokémon Center Online beginning May 8th.

The Pokémon Company has revealed some new plushes coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan, including additions to the very popular Sitting Cuties line (Pokémon fit in Japan) and to the Mocchirich plus line. The new Sitting Cuties will arrive in-store on May 10th and to the Pokémon Center Online on May 8th, while the new Mocchirich plushes will arrive in-store on May 3rd, and to the Pokémon Center Online on May 1st.

Following last week's announcement of a life-sized Eevee plush, the Japanese Pokémon Center Online store has opened pre-orders for three new life-sized plushes of some of its evolutions. Vaporeon, Jolteon and Flareon are scaled according to their in-game Pokédex sizes, each being between 2 and 3 feet tall.

The Japanese Pokémon Center stores will be releasing a new line of metal keychains entirely composed of Pokémon from the Alolan Pokédex, with 103 charms in all. Keychains come in sets by evolution line, and include regional forms, Ultra Beasts, and Legendary Pokémon.

Pokémon UNITE updated to Version 1.18.2.6 at 7:00am (UTC) on April 24th. These updates, dubbed "Breath of Evolution" (Japanese: 「進化の息吹」), bring balance adjustments for a variety of Pokémon, alongside bug fixes and Shop and Event updates.

Iono debuts her new Sygna Suit Sync Pair with Raging Bolt today in Pokémon Masters EX, in a Poké Fair Scout that launches alongside the new Zippity Zappity Collab Story Event. Both the Event and Scout will continue until May 12, at 10:59pm (PDT). 5★ Rosa (Champion) & Meloetta are also making their return to the game today alongside the usual collection of regular events and presents on offer for the monthly Pokémon Masters Day celebrations.

A new trailer and press release have provided players with their first official look at Pokémon TCG Pocket's next expansion, Celestial Guardians, which is set to launch worldwide next week on Wednesday April 30th. A new drop event featuring Rayquaza ex will also launch in game next Tuesday April 29th, in celebration of the game's half year anniversary.

A new version of Pokémon Masters EX, Ver. 2.56.0, is now available to download. This new version introduces additional items to the General tab of the Gym Exchange for players to redeem in the upcoming new season. Tetsuya Iguchi, the game's general producer has also revealed information on a wide selection of new events that will be commencing in-game over the next week. The next letter is slated for late May, and will include information about new Sync Pairs and events coming to the game in June.

The 4th Grand Challenge from the 2025 season of VGC has now been announced. Registration for this online competition is open from May 1st at midnight (UTC) to May 8th at 11:59pm (UTC), with the event itself scheduled to run from May 9th at midnight (UTC) to May 11th at 11:59pm (UTC).

Happiny, Chansey, and Blissey will be sleepwalking their way onto player's devices early next month, as they make their Pokémon Sleep debut in the week-long Spring Festival 2025. This event, which appears to be the successor of last year's Flower Festival event, is scheduled to begin on Monday May 5th at 4:00am local time, running through until Monday May 12th at 3:59am local time.

Applin, Flapple, and Appletun will make their Pokémon GO debut in the Sweet Discoveries event, which runs from April 24th, at 10:00am to April 29th, at 8:00pm local time. 200 Applin Candy and 20 Tart Apples will be required to evolve Applin into Flapple, and 200 Applin Candy and 20 Sweet Apples to evolve Applin into Appletun.

On April 18th, 2025, Nintendo of America filed a DMCA subpoena against Discord Inc. in attempt to discover the identity of the user who were able to gain unauthorized access to Gamefreak's servers. The United States District Court for the Northern District of California has ordered Discord to provide any information they can about the user behind the data breach, who went by GameFreakOUT. The hack came to be known as the "Freakleak".

The 2025 Monterrey Regional Championships were won by now-6x Regional Champion Riley Factura with their team led by the Restricted Pokémon Miraidon. This marks Miraidon's fifth win at a major event in Scarlet and Violet. The 2025 Monterrey Regionals used the Regulation Set G ruleset, allowing the use of Paradox Pokemon, Legendary Pokemon, along with a choice of only one Restricted Special Pokemon per team. Notably, it's the final event in the Latin America region to use this ruleset before Regulation Set I begins at the beginning of May 2025.

While this episode of Pokémon Horizons marks the start of Liko and Roy’s new adventure in solving Laquium cases and restore the Rising Volt Tacklers’ reputation, I find it interesting how a lot has been shown and told, despite this episode being a bit more simplistic compared to the previous two. I feel like the next few episodes might be episodic, as they're mainly solving the Laquium case of the week, but hey, the new arc needs to get some solid footing before the important stuff happens.

The 2025 Malaysia Master Ball League was won by Lee Jin Yang with their team led by the Restricted Pokémon Lunala. This marks Lunala's second major win in Scarlet and Violet following its victory at the 2025 Vancouver Regionals. The 2025 Malaysia Master Ball League used the Regulation Set G ruleset, allowing the use of Paradox Pokemon, Legendary Pokemon, along with a choice of only one Restricted Special Pokemon per team. Notably, it's the penultimate National-level event in Asia to use this ruleset, followed by the 2025 Philippines Master Ball League on the 26-27th of April, before Regulation Set I begins at the beginning of May 2025.

The Aim to Be an Egg Master Egg Battle Event, is making a return to Pokémon Masters EX until May 1st, at 10:59pm (PDT). This latest version of the event showcases a selection of Water-, Ground-, and Fairy-type Pokémon. A set of missions have also been launched for a new Easter-themed Photo Frame.
