The Paradox Pokémon, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves are once again appearing in 5-star Tera Raid Battles in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. The Pokémon will be available in-game from February 21st, at 12:00am (UTC), until February 27th, at 11:59pm (UTC). Walking Wake will appear exclusively in Pokémon Scarlet, while Iron Leaves will be appearing exclusively in Pokémon Violet. All Walking Wake and Iron Leaves encountered during this event will have the Water and Psychic Tera Types respectively.
Following on from the recent distributions of Shiny Meloetta, Shiny Enamorus, and Shiny Manaphy as rewards for completing different Pokédexes in Pokémon HOME, Trainers will now be able to obtain a final two more special Pokémon through completing regional Pokédexes.
Dhelmise makes its Pokémon GO debut this week in the Beloved Buddies event, appearing for the first time as part of Three-Star Raids. The event is commencing Tuesday February 11th, at 10:00am, and will run through to Saturday February 15th, at 8:00pm local time.
The Bug-type duo of Karrablast and Shelmet are the featured Pokémon for Pokémon GO's February 2025 Community Day, which will be held this Sunday, February 9th, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. During this event, Karrablast and Shelmet will be appearing more frequently in the wild, together with their Shiny variant.

The Pokémon Company International has announced that selected stores in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand will be distributing code cards for a Flying-Tera Type Eevee in Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet to celebrate Pokémon Day 2025. No purchase is required for players to receive these codes, however supplies will be limited.

To celebrate the Year of the Snake, a special distribution of a Shiny Arbok is being held specifically for the Mainland China variants of Pokémon Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! for the Tencent Nintendo Switch. The Cream Pokémon Milcery will be appearing as part of a special 5-star Tera Raid Battle event in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet this Valentine's Day beginning Friday, February 14th, at midnight (UTC), running through to Sunday, February 16th, at 11:59pm (UTC). These Pokémon can be encountered in a wide array of Tera Types. When defeated, Trainers will be rewarded with a variety of sweets that can be used to evolve Milcery.
Pokémon GO this week is celebrating the year of the Snake with 2025 Lunar New Year event. This event will run from the beginning of the Lunar New Year, on Wednesday, January 29th, at 10:00am, through to Sunday, February 2nd, at 8:00pm local time. Trainers will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Ekans and hatch Shiny Nosepass during this event.
Niantic has announced that they will be ending support for Pokémon GO on 32-bit Android devices to streamline their development process and focus resources on supporting newer operating systems and technologies.
Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight will be making make their Pokémon GO debuts next week as part of the Steeled Resolve event, which will run alongside the game's latest GO Battle Week. Mega Gallade will make its Pokémon GO debut in the upcoming Mega Gallade Raid Day event on January 11st, running from 2:00pm to 5:00pm local time. Mega Gallade's shiny variant will also rarely appear in Mega Raids during this event.
The annual Fashion Week returns to Pokémon GO this coming Friday, running from Friday January 10th, at 10:00am through until Sunday January 19th, at 8:00pm local time. This year's event will see the debut of Minccino and Cinccino wearing a fashionable costume.
The holidays are here in Pokémon GO! Shiny Sandygast and Dedenne wearing holiday attire will appear for the first time in Pokémon GO as part of Part 1 of this year's Holiday event, which commences this week on December 17th, at 10:00am, running through to December 22nd, at 9:59am local time. Part 2, which continues to December 27th, at 8:00pm local time, will see the debuts of Shiny Cetoddle, and Wooloo and Dubwool wearing holiday attire.
