Free Special Research featuring Diancie available in Pokémon GO from May 1st — Diancie-Themed Field Research to run from May 1st to 3rd

Niantic has announced that a Special Research story, Glitz and Glam, will be available to all Pokémon GO Trainers for free starting May 1st, at 10:00am local time. Trainers who complete this Special Research will earn an encounter with the Mythical Pokémon Diancie. This Special Research will not expire.

Trainers who participated in the Pokémon GO Fest 2023-exclusive Special Research will be eligible to access and complete this Special Research, however rather than receiving an additional enconter with Diancie, these Trainers will instead receive a Diancie Candy.

Additionally, from May 1st, at 12:00am through to May 3rd, at 11:59pm local time, Diancie-themed Field Research tasks will also be available when Trainers spin Photo Discs at PokéStops. Trainers who complete these tasks will receive Diancie Mega Energy and encounters with Carbink.
