Niantic has announced details for the Luminous Legends Y event. Following the debut of Xerneas, the other Legendary Pokémon from Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, the Destruction Pokémon Yveltal will be appearing in Pokémon GO.

We reported over the weekend that a Pokémon GO Special Weekend event would be held in Mexico in collaboration with 7-11. We now know the same event will also be held in the United States and Japan, with different commercial partners, specifically Verizon (US) and Yoshinoya (Japan).

Niantic has announced another Pokémon GO and 7-Eleven collaboration event in Mexico. During the event, Trainers with an Event Ticket will be able to encounter featured Pokémon using Incense and through Field Research, receive items from Timed Research, and several other bonuses. The Pokémon Company International has announced Pokémon Master Journeys: The Series will be the title of the 24th season of the Pokémon the Series animated series. Diana Pérez, the Mexican voice actor who played Jessie for more than 20 years in the Latin American Spanish dub of the Pokémon Anime, passed away last week at the age of 51 after being hospitalized for kidney failure. A team of researchers working under Professor Michael Bonkowski at the University of Colone's Institute of Zoology have discovered a previously undescribed bacteria in amoebae which they have dubbed "Pokemonas". The name references the intracellular livestyle of the bacteria within ball-shaped Thecofilosea amoebae, likening it to Pokémon being caught and living within their Poké Balls.

Pokémon fans love seeing Pokémon. What’s more, seeing Pokémon go about their own business in their natural ecosystem is a special kind of pleasure. Niantic has revealed that Swablu will be the featured Pokémon for May 2021's Community Day. The Shiny variant of Swablu will also be able to encountered. When you evolve Swablu into Altaria during, or within two hours after the event, it will learn Moonblast. The event will also include several bonuses, with eggs having 1/4 hatch distance when placed in an Incubator, and Incense lasting for three hours. A Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, Cotton-Winged Bird, will also be available for purchase, rewarding the players with items.

Niantic has announced Pokémon GO Fest 2021. It will be another two-day global event. This event will celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pokémon and the 5th anniversary of Pokémon GO. It will be held on July 17 to July 18, 2021.
