Poppy (New Year's 2025) & Steelix make use of Steel Zones to repeatedly debuff opponents, and buff their team. Their Diamond-Hard Iron Head attack can be used for 2 move gauge whenever a Steel Zone is active, doing 200 base power worth of physical damage to all opponents, while lowering their Attack and Sp. Atk by one stat rank, having a 30% chance of making each opponent struck flinch, and raising the Defense and Sp. Def of all allied sync pairs by one stat rank. If Steelix has Mega Evolved, the attack also lowers opponents Speed by one stat rank, and increased the Speed of all allied sync pairs by one stat rank. To ensure Poppy (New Year's 2025) & Steelix can use this move as much as possible, their Super Tough! Passive Skill cretes a Steel Zone when they enter battle, extends the duration of any Steel Zone applied, and applies a Free Move Next effect to them when they successfully use an attack while a Steel Zone is active. More details about the sync pair can be found on Bulbapedia.
