The Sensational Six as PMD Actors Idea (rework of a previous PMD actors idea)

What started as a lazy summer afternoon took a strange turn as Ash and the gang suddenly found themselves pulled into a Pokemon world where humans did not exist, transformed into Eeveelutions along the way. Their only clue to finding their way back to the real Pokeworld, and their human forms was to "put on the greatest show in heaven and on earth."

But even in their new Pokemon forms, the group wondered--what kind of show would Arceus like? They obviously couldn't play all the parts themselves--they would likely be laughed out of the divine realm, Misty surmised.

A trip to the library floored the group--this world had stories very similar to human tales--and some human tales told with a Pokemon twist!

So the group put out a call for auditions in Rainbow Town. Eevees and Eeveelutions--and some other Pokemon-- turned out in droves to try out. Even if they couldn't act their way out of a paper bag, the group found them a place building sets, sewing costumes, writing plays for the group to perform, directing the lavish shows, playing the music, choreographing fights and dances, and so much more.

So after befriending and assembling a troupe of Eeveelution actors and crew, the Sensational Six embark on their most magical quest yet--performing for the Legendaries, and ultimately Arceus Himself.

The Sensational Six As Colorate

Well loved and well liked for his excitable personality and heroic heart, Ash is best known for his willingness to attempt even the most challenging of Colorful Moves, never mind the risk. No matter how hard the Colorful Move is, he won't give up until he gets it right. His Colorful Moves tend to have fire, phoenix, and thunder motifs.

Known as "The Icy Cool Aurora" for her rainbow watery and icy themed colorful moves, Misty is well known for performing Arcoloria shows on her terms. Initially trained as part of a family group, Misty ventured out on her own after seeing her sisters' shows were all flash and no heart. Drawing on her love of the water and its related power of ice, Misty may appear outwardly calm, but inside, she still has a fiery spirit.

Famous for his musical ability and huge heart, Brock is a very popular Festive Colorate--and his performances are must see events. Even the audience becomes part of Brock's performances as they dance, sing and cheer along to the songs he skates to. His joie de vivre even extends out of the arena, moving heaven and earth to help performers in need, and teaching the next generation of Colorate.

His Colorful Moves are generally jewel and nature themed, with roses and music being common motifs.

After spending some time in Kalos training to be a Colorate, Serena has only recently returned to Waku to showcase what she has learned, and grow her abilities even more. Ash is one of her closest friends, so the two of them have never been apart for long since her return to Waku, To many in the community, it was like they picked up their friendship right where it left off. It is not unheard of for them to do duo shows together and train together.

Her Colorful Moves are typically light themed, and will sometimes evoke the colorful world of the Kalosian revue.

Known for her sweet personality and wind, flower, Beauitifly and rainbow themed Colorful Moves, May was inspired to become a Colorate herself when she happened to catch an Arcoloria show on TV. But under the sweet exterior lies the spirit and resolve of a Combusken--she is renowned in the community for her fast speed and focus on the course. She never competes without her lucky bandanna--and fans have spotted it peeking from under her helmet.

Dawn was initially trained as a Colorate by her mother Joanna, who won many prizes and awards for her beautiful routines over a long career. But no matter how Dawn tried, she struggled in her own shows, and briefly entertained the thought of leaving the Arcoloria community altogether. But the community rallied around her, urging her not to copy her mother's style, but find her own unique Colorful Moves. Inspired, Dawn continued to train and hone her own Colorful Moves. Her moon and star themed moves have since won her some prizes, finally proving herself worthy of her family legacy.

Pokemon Crafted World Idea (inspired by Yoshi's Crafted World)

While on an errand for Delia, Ash spotted an ad for a cartoon making contest in the newspaper--and the grand prize was a grand trip to Paldea! Prizes would also be given out for such categories as Most Creative Cartoon, Funniest Cartoon, Most Thrilling Cartoon, and more.

Even though he finished his errand, a trip to Paldea sounded interesting to Ash, new Pokemon and new League to challenge notwithstanding.

Once home, Ash told his companions about the contest. Misty, Brock, Serena, May, and Dawn thought it was a good idea to at least try their luck.

So after reading the contest guidelines and thinking up a plot for their cartoon, the gang hurried off to find craft supplies, art supplies and whatever household implements and toys they could find. No one was without a job:

--Ash directed the short, helped with the music, performed some of the puppets, and oversaw the production

--Misty helped draw the storyboards, helped with the music, performed the Water Pokemon puppets, and set up the water features in any shots.

--Brock lent his home studio to record the music and sound for the shorts, as well as procure any instruments and implements for sound effects Ash and the others didn't have. He also contributed some of his own instruments and noisemakers from his massive collection (most notably his guitar, recorders of all sizes, some kazoos, and doing some whistling for certain songs). He also assisted with performing the voices for the bigger puppets.

--Serena helped Misty plan each shot, performed some of the puppets, and designed the sets.

--May helped Dawn design the puppets' costumes, and performed some of the puppets.

After weeks of building, setting up, recording the voice tracks to perform the puppets to, filming the short frame by frame, recording the music, then mixing everything together, Ash sent off the group's finished masterpiece, hoping their heartwarming quest short would be enough for a trip to Paldea...

Do They See Us? (not really inspired by something, just something to think about.)

As we adventure across many gaming worlds with our favorite characters, how do you think they see us, the players? Do they see us as gods? Guardian spirits? (some games have presented the player like this). How do we manifest to them? Are we ghostly spirits to our favorite characters? That still small voice in their hearts telling them to do the right thing and save the world? Something else entirely?

I do have some ideas of doing a retelling of a game focusing on how we, the players, manifest in the game world, and how the characters bond with us just like we do them...

A Pair of Ideas for the Books (inspired by SV's final trailer today)

For both of these ideas to work, imagine that there were more books than just the Scarlet Book and Violet Book...and they were more than expedition logs.

Book Idea Fantasy ver.

In a mage's academy in a fantastic Paldea, legends are told of the Legendary Rainbow Books--the Scarlet Book, the Amber Book, the Golden Book, the Jade Book, the Azure Book, the Indigo Book, and the Violet Book. Many say that there are spells in these sacred books that no one has ever seen before...and fallen mages would do anything to get their hands on the books.

One mage apprentice named Juliana aims to find out the truth about the books--are they as powerful as legends say, or are they simply ordinary spellbooks?

Book Idea Martial Arts ver.

In an ancient Pokemon world, the martial world is in an uproar over seven legendary manuals hidden somewhere in the world---the Scarlet Manual, the Amber Manual, the Golden Manual, the Jade Manual, the Azure Manual, the Indigo Manual, and the Violet Manual. But as these elusive manuals have never been found, many dismiss them as legend, or bedtime stories.

But one band of best friends decides to find out if the manuals are real--a journey that will take them all across Waku and prevent a massive war in the martial world...

Human Terastrialization Idea (inspired by SV and Sonic the Hedgehog's Super states)

In a Pokeworld not unlike the one we know, Pokemon aren't the only ones that can enter a crystalized super state--humans can enter a crystal super state too, provided they have a Milagro Crystal inside them. A human inside this crystalline state is known as "Super (person's name)"

What each person's transformed state will look like depends on the level of the transformation (which the Super state is already immensely powerful, it can grow even stronger), and a Pokemon special to the person. A person may be able to invoke multiple transformations based on their innate power and what Pokemon they are close to.

Depending on the emotions of the user and their spiritual strength, the Super stage can evolve itself: Super->Ultra->Hyper->Mega. The more powerful the level, the more beautiful and ornate the transformation looks. Even those who use the power for evil have a beautiful transformation into the state.

Like any mystical or superpower--there are downsides to using the Milagro Crystal's power. Usually, it will only make the user tired for a while (the higher the level achieved, the longer they will be tired afterwards--using the base Super state will only wear you out for about 30-45 minutes at most, but if you are able to safely evolve the state to Mega, you will be tired for a couple of hours, but users can and will die if they attempt forcing a power up or using a level they can't handle yet.

If the Pokemon TCG Were in the Show (some thoughts on how I could make this idea work for a possible story)

For one thing, it would not be jazzed up to Yu-Gi-Oh level drama. For me, the TCG goes faster because you don't have ten million mechanics to deal with on a turn. I would however, take one cue from Yu-Gi-Oh--the cards have a little more elaborate names (so the iconic Base Set Charizard would be "Flame Herald Charizard", for example)

Building on the Game Boy TCG or the sequel the rest of the world never got is one option for a plot, as well as a tournament plot or even a school plot (taking a page from YGO GX).

For simplicity's sake, Ash and the gang would be using theme decks (both real and imagined)

Every known English card, from the Base Set to Silver Tempest, would be viable

There would be some made up cards not in the real game.

Oh, yeah. I haven't seen YUGIOH in like years. I'm not surprised that I forgot about that. What other things would you do differently if you were to do this story?
 
My guess is that they wanted to keep things as simple as possible, so they made Pokémon with only one type, and reduced the type chart from 15 (at the time) to 7. Then they added Dark, Steel/Metal, Fairy (for a time) and Dragon, which is fair since giving Dragons the Colorless/Normal type was always weird for me.

So how would this look as a slight tweak of the real lineup of Energy:

Nature
Fire
Water
Ice
Lightning
Spirit (covers Psychic and Ghost types)
Earth (covers Ground, Rock, and Fighting)
Dark
Metal
Light (covers Dragon and Fairy types)

Colorless can mean any color or no elemental
