Scream Tail with the Fairy Tera Type, and Iron Bundle with the Water Tera Type
The version-exclusive Pokémon Scream Tail, and Iron Bundle will be appearing as part of a 5-star Tera Raid Battle event in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet beginning this Friday January 24th, at Midnight (UTC), running through to Sunday January 26th,, at 11:59pm (UTC). This is the first time either Pokémon has appeared in a 5-star Tera Raid Battle event, however Iron Bundle previously appeared in a 7-star event with the Mightiest Mark for Christmas 2023.

Scream Tail will appear exclusively for players of Pokémon Scarlet, while Iron Bundle will appear in Pokémon Violet. Players will be able to participate in Tera Raid Battles for both Pokémon by joining Tera Raid Battles hosted by Trainers with the other game version. Both of these Pokémon will also be able to be encountered in a wide array of Tera Types, including rare Tera Types for each species.

To encounter these Pokémon in Tera Raid Battles, players will need to first download the latest Poké Portal News. If players have connected their Nintendo Switch system to the internet while playing Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, this will happen automatically. Players can also manually download the Poké Portal News by selecting Poké Portal from the X menu, and then selecting Mystery Gift, and then Check Poké Portal News. After that, players will be able to start a Tera Raid Battle simply by walking up to and interacting with an appropriate Tera Crystal in-game. In the overworld, the Tera Crystals associated with these raids can be differentiated from other Tera Raid crystals by their aura, which is mostly clearly visible when looking at crystals on the map.

A paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to participate in Tera Raid Battles with other Trainers online, however players will still be able to challenge these Tera Raid Battles solo (supported by AI bots), or with other Trainers in local play without a membership.
