Sword & Shield - Lost Origin TCG expansion announced; Lost Zone mechanic to make its return
The Lost Zone gameplay mechanic will be making its return in this expansion. The Lost Zone is similar to the discard pile, except that players will not be able to recover cards sent to the Lost Zone during gameplay. Lost Zone cards such as Giratina VSTAR will feature a shadowy aura emanating from the artwork.
The expansion will also feature more Hisuian Pokémon, including Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR and Hisuian Goodra VSTAR. Radiant Pokémon, and the Trainer Gallery subset from recent expansions, will also continue to be featured in the TCG.
Lost Origin set description said:
In total, this expansion will feature over 190 cards, including 3 Radiant Pokémon, 14 Pokémon V, 1 Pokémon VMAX, more than 15 Trainer cards, and 30 cards in the Trainer Gallery subset. 6 Pokémon VSTAR have also been confirmed for the set, including Aerodactyl, Magnezone, Drapion, Giratina, Hisuian Zoroark, and Hisuian Goodra.
As usual, Lost Origin will be available across a variety of formats, including the typical booster packs and Special Collections, as well as the Elite Trainer Box featuring Giratina (Origin Forme). Special versions of these Elite Trainer Boxes will also be available through Pokémon Center in the US, Canada, and the UK.
