Another Pokémon GO Special Weekend has been announced for Mexico

Mirroring the previously announced event in Japan, Niantic has announced that a Pokémon GO Special Weekend will take place exclusively in Mexico from December 10 to December 12, 2021, in partnership with 7-Eleven Mexico.

Features for ticket holders
From December 10, 2021 at 12:00 a.m. to December 12, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. local time, an event-exclusive Timed Research will be available for those who have a participation ticket. When completed, players can encounter Geodude, Graveler, Golem, Onix, Shuckle, or Bronzor. Players will also receive XP, an Incense, a Star Piece, a Lucky Egg, and Steelix Mega Energy.

A 3× Catch XP bonus will be active during the event. Lure Modules activated during the event hours will last for 90 minutes each. Players will also receive an event Medal when they redeem their code on the Offer Redemption site.

On December 11, 2021 only, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, Geodude, Onix, Shuckle, Unown E and S, Aron, Numel, Baltoy, Bronzor, and Hippopotas will all be attracted to Incense and Lure Modules more frequently. Please note that Unown will not be appearing as a Shiny in this event.

Features for non-ticket holders
From Friday, December 10, 2021 at 12:00 a.m. to Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 11:59 p.m. local time, those in Mexico without a participation ticket will receive a 2× Catch XP bonus, with Lure Modules lasting for an hour each.

To get a ticket, you have to buy at least $50 pesos worth of the following products:

• 7-Select Purified Water 500 ml
• 7-Select Purified Water 1L
• 7-Select Purified Water 1.5L
• 7-Select Purified Water 6L
• 7-Select Purified Water 10L

Then, register your ticket in the 7-Eleven Mexico app before December 5, 2021. Once your ticket has been validated, you will receive your access code by email on December 9, 2021.

After receiving the code, please enter the promotional code on the Offer Redemption page or the in-game app before the event starts.

This event can be played only in Mexico. If you live in an area other than Mexico, you will not be able to participate in the event even if you've purchased a ticket.
