"I can't choose, Eevee," a new manga by Saji Komori and Nishiki Suzumori, is being released to commemorate Eevee Day (November 21st). According to a post on Suzumori's Tumblr, the plot centers around, "a student and their Eevee as they grapple with decisions about their future and Eevee's evolution." There will be five chapters in the series, and with the first having been released yesterday in a thread on X (Twitter). A unique aspect of the series is that its ending will be determined by the number of reposts the first four chapters receive.
The Open Sky Titan sure makes for an intimidating bird. If I was ranking the scariest birds in the Scarlet & Violet arc, I’d put it a hair over Chapter 7’s Quaxly. Trust me, that says a lot.
With Miraidon at its full speed, the hunt for the Open Sky Titan begins! I have to say that I love every part of this chapter cover—especially Wooper sitting politely on Miraidon’s leg. Please take a moment to admire this distinguished little one.
There’s a lot to love in this chapter—whether it’s the hilarious facial expressions drawn by Satoshi Yamamoto, the chaotic characterization of Brassius, or the little insight we get into Scarlet’s life. I found myself smiling throughout it.
After last chapter’s cliffhanger ending, we finally get to understand the mystery behind the World’s Most Aggressive Quaxly! Keep in mind there will be spoilers for this chapter in this review. If that’s a concern, please make sure to check it out before continuing.
Volume 2’s first chapter sets up for lots of excitement ahead! When it first released in CoroCoro, I was a bit nervous about how I was going to approach it in a review, as it definitely felt like it was missing something. Now that we’ve got the full chapter, a lot of my initial questions are answered, and there’s some new content to enjoy! I love that while Scarlet continues to be closed off to everyone she meets, Violet’s list of best friends keeps on growing.
Pokémon Special Scarlet & Violet volume 2 releases September 27th in Japan. This mini-volume collects chapters 7–11, which were first published in the CoroCoro Ichiban! magazine. Like volume 1, this will contain content not present in the initial release, such as updated artwork and an additional chapter.
Pokémon Masters EX is nearing its 5th anniversary! The game is commemorating this through many different festivities, including the Trainer Tales Championship, where fans can nominate their favorite Story Event from the last five years. We thought it would be fitting to ask some of our staff their picks for the best Story Event. Here’s what they said!
It’s our first fully Scarlet-centric chapter! As much as I love Violet, it’s so refreshing to see the spotlight solely shining on Scarlet. She’s such a fun character to follow, and I’m excited for the mystery around her backstory to be unraveled.
With a new Pokédex Holder and a battle with a Team Star Boss, this chapter was a lot of fun! I was already hyped about the Scarlet & Violet arc, but now we’ve got an exciting new main character to root for!
As of this chapter of Pokémon Adventures’s Scarlet & Violet arc, I’d have to say that say Violet is under consideration to become my favorite Pokédex Holder. He’s such a dummy, and I mean this in the best way possible. Am I getting ahead of myself because this is only the fourth chapter? Probably—but it’s hard not to smile when you see Violet and his chaotic, yet innocent nature.
The third chapter of Pokémon Adventures’s Scarlet & Violet arc brings us humor, new Pokémon, and exciting plot developments! This chapter is a fun and fast-paced addition to the story after the previous chapter was mostly focused on giving us some much-needed context. I really enjoy everyone’s characterization so far—it just keeps getting better and better.
The second chapter of Pokémon Adventures’s Scarlet & Violet arc is a charming setup to the story to come. While it may not have as much energy and excitement as the first one, it gives us a lot to think about for the future of the arc. Many characters and their dynamics are explored a bit deeper, giving us some insight into how they will grow with the series itself.
Hi, my name’s Vendredi, and I’ll be writing a series of reviews for Pokémon Adventures’s Scarlet & Violet arc! As a huge fan of both Pokémon Adventures and SV, I couldn’t wait to see how Hidenori Kusaka and Satoshi Yamamoto would take on the new games. SV has such a character-driven story—it seems like the perfect fit for Pokémon Adventures. There are so many great plot lines and lovable characters at their disposal. The first chapter has been out since August 21st, 2023 and is long overdue for discussion.
