Pokémon UNITE updated to Version 1.18.2.6 at 7:00am (UTC) on April 24th. These updates, dubbed "Breath of Evolution" (Japanese: 「進化の息吹」), bring balance adjustments for a variety of Pokémon, alongside bug fixes and Shop and Event updates.

A new Battle Pass for Season 31 is now available to buy in Pokémon UNITE from April 17th, running through to June 4th. This Battle Pass features the Holowear Noble Style: Leafeon and Sacred Style: Eldegoss. New trainer outfits such as the "Noble Set" and background and frames will also be available, with new Holowear, such as Fairy-Tale Style: Greninja, to be released during the event period.

Alolan Raichu is the latest Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE. Alolan Raichu is a special attacking Ranged Attacker with Intermediate difficulty, and can be purchased from the in-game shop for Aeos gem 790 Aeos Gems. It will also be available for Aeos coin 13,000 Aeos Coins from next week.

Pokémon UNITE will update to Version 1.18.2.5 at 7am (UTC) on April 17th. This update brings bug fixes, matchmaking adjustments, and improvements to the new "First to 500" game mode.

Pokémon UNITE Weekend, which is held on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month, is back again from April 5th at 12:00am (UTC), through to April 6th at 11:59pm (UTC). As with previous months, all Pokémon licenses will be free to use (outside of Ranked matches) over the weekend, along with the ability to earn a large amount of Aeos coins, Aeos energy, and battle points over the weekly limit.

Project VOLTAGE High ↑, the continuation to the art and music collaboration Project VOLTAGE 18 Types/Songs between Pokémon and the popular Volcaloid character Hatsune Miku, has posted its second song, with the release of 「ファサード・クエスチョン 」 Facade Question, by Japanese musician and producer サツキ / 32ki Satsuki, on Tuesday, April 1st, at 6:31pm (JST).

After completing the second season, episodes from the third season of Pokémon the Series, Pokémon: The Johto Journeys, are now available on the Pokémon TV YouTube channel, with three episodes being added weekly. These uploads have audio tracks in a total of 12 languages: English, German, Italian, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Arabic, Croatian, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), and Swedish; with closed captions currently only available in English.

The next arc of the Pokémon animated series, known as Pocket Monsters: Mega Voltage (Japanese: 「ポケットモンスター メガボルテージ」 Poketto Monsutā Mega Borutēji) will be debuting in Japan starting Friday, April 11th. The series, known internationally as Pokémon Horizons: The Series, is currently in the final two episodes of its fourth arc, which air in Japan on March 14th and 21st. After a 2 week break, the series will resume on April 11th with new designs for the main characters Liko, Roy, and Dot, along a new character, Ult.

In commemoration of World Sleep Day on March 14th, which was established by the World Sleep Society to promote the advancement of sleep health and sleep-related knowledge, Pokémon Sleep players will receive two reward stamps for each day that they stick to their bedtime in a special celebration that will be held later this month. This bonus will apply from Friday, March 28th at 4:00am to Monday, April 14th at 3:59am local time, and will be applicable in all areas.

The release date for Alolan Raichu, the next Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE has been announced — It will be available to play from April 17th. Alolan Raichu is a Special-Attacking Ranged Attacker. At the time of writing, no further details have on Raichu have been officially announced.

Pokémon UNITE updated to Version 1.18.1.3 at 7am (UTC) on March 13th. This update brings balance adjustments to Absol, Gengar, Talonflame, Meowscarada, and Snorlax, along with Shop and Event updates. Specifically, this update reverts the changes made to these Pokémon in the February 27th (v1.18.1.2) update, which had resulted in these Pokémon getting overpowered and having an excessively high win rate.

Netflix has revealed that the second batch of Pokémon Horizons: Season 2—The Search for Laqua will be releasing exclusively on Netflix in the U.S. and other territories on April 25th. This batch is expected to consist of 11 episodes, from 2x12HZ057: The Terapagos I Don't Know, to 2x22 HZ067: Shine on, Terastallization! Liko vs. Roy!

The Legendary Pokémon, Suicune is the latest Pokémon to join the fray in Pokémon UNITE. During the Pokémon Day 2025 Pokémon Presents, three new Pokémon were announced for Pokémon UNITE: Suicune, Alolan Raichu, and Alcremie. Suicune joins the fray on March 1st, while Alolan Raichu will join in April, and Alcremie will be joining later this year. Other announcements included a new battle mode and other upcoming events.

A new animated special, 『カイリューとゆうびんやさん』 (Kairyū to Yūbinya-san, transl. Dragonite and the Mail Carrier) or Dragonite and the Special Delivery, is now available on the Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel in commeration of Pokémon Day 2025 (February 27th). This special is 14 minutes in length and its cast includes 福本莉子 Riko Fukumoto as Hana, 藤原夏海 Natsumi Fujiwara as Rio, and 高橋伸也 Shinya Takahashi as Dragonite.

The globally popular stop-motion animation series “Pokémon Concierge” is now available to watch on the various official Pokémon YouTube channels for a limited time, as part of the Pokémon Day 2025 celebrations. This episodes will remain available on these channels through to March 9th. “Pokémon Concierge” follows the story of Pokémon Resort concierge Haru, the Psyduck she works with and the many Pokémon and Trainers who visit as guests. The cast includes のん Non as Haru's Japanese voice, Karen Fukuhara as Haru's English voice, and 高坂宙 Hiroshi Kosaka as Psyduck.
