The Pokémon Company has announced the latest additions to Pokémon Dolls, a plush line that features all kinds of Pokémon in a cute, rounded style with big heads. The new drop includes four Dragon-type Pokémon, which will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on April 19th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on April 17th.

Shortly after closing on Sunday, April 6th, TCG Planet in Perry, Iowa was broken into and robbed of approximately $25,000 to $40,000 USD worth of Pokémon Trading Card Game products by a yet-unknown suspect. The burglar gained access to the store, which was only newly opened in January of this year, by breaking through two backdoors. He then ripped the security cameras down from the walls and made off with nearly all the Pokémon cards on the property.

The Pokémon Company has announced today that the Pokémon Center location in Fukuoka Prefecture in Japan will be closing on May 12th in order to relocate to its new spot. The store will move from its current location in the Amu Plaza of the Hakata Subway Station, and reopen in the nearby Hakata Murui mall. Pokémon Center Fukuoka is currently scheduled to reopen this summer.

The Pokémon Company has announced the latest merch line coming to Pokémon Centers across Japan. The “Stardust Besties” collection, inspired by the members and Pokémon of Scarlet and Violet’s Team Star, will be coming in-store to Pokemon Centers on April 12th, and to the Pokemon Center Online on April 10th.

The Pokémon Center web stores serving the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia have unveiled new TCG accessories including play mats, deck boxes, sleeves, and more. There are several Pokémon motifs available that carry across different products, so players can have a themed TCG product set. Nine new play mats are available for $24.99 USD each, with the exclusion of the die-cut Fidough and Dachsbun play mat, which retails for $29.99 USD.

The Pokémon Company has announced a variety of Pokémon hand puppets and finger puppets coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan beginning April 5th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on April 3rd. It’s unusual for the UK Pokémon Center to be excluded from this drop, and there is no word if or when the plushes will arrive there. All the plushes which were previously announced as part of the Pokémon Botanical Easter collection in Japan are now available.

The Pokémon Company has announced that a collection of Italian leather goods themed after Pikachu, Ditto, and Umbreon will be coming to Pokémon Centers this Spring. Every item will be available in yellow, purple, and black, with gold details for Pikachu and Ditto and silver details for Umbreon.

The collection will be coming to Pokémon Centers across the country beginning March 15th, and to the Pokémon Center Online beginning March 14th. This stationery collection features a wide variety of Pokémon, with the main mascot being Pikachu traveling on a ship.

Build-A-Bear Workshop has debuted the latest addition to their ever-growing Pokémon plush collection, adding Wooper to the lineup. The latest Pokémon was teased in their promo post for Pokémon Day 2025 more than two weeks ago, and observant fans spotted it. Starting today, Wooper is available exclusively online as a bundle, as Pokémon usually are before being added in-store sometime after release.

The Pokémon Company International has once again collaborated with indie art studio OMOCAT, who are best known as the creators of the video game Omori. The new 10-piece “powerhouse” drop is available now online at all the English-language Pokémon Centers, and includes hats, t-shirts and more in adult sizes.

Pokémon Local Acts has announced that there will be seven new Poké Lids featuring Oshawott installed in Mie Prefecture in the coming weeks. With the addition of these seven, all of the twenty-nine cities and towns in the prefecture will have their own Poké Lid. Poké Lids are donations from The Pokémon Company to prefectures, and along with events and merchandise hosted by Pokémon Local Acts, are intended to encourage tourism to various areas of Japan.

The Pokémon Company has announced a couple unusual additions to their plush collections, which will be coming to Pokémon Centers across Japan. The first to arrive will be a couple of Pikachu designed to be gifts, which will arrive in stores on March 8th and at the Pokémon Center Online sometime after the website’s redevelopment is complete. The next to arrive will be a new drop of four plushes being added to the Brrr... Squish! plush series, which will be available in store on March 15th and at the Pokémon Center Online on March 14th.

In the early morning of March 2nd, a passenger train themed after Dragonite, which was traveling on the Katsuyama-Eiheiji Line in Fukui Prefecture, Japan, collided with a 2 meter wide boulder laying near the tracks. Fortunately, the two passengers on board the lead train car sustained no injuries, and the conductor suffered only a minor injury to his knee. The train was derailed with a broken window and damage to the exterior.

The Pokémon Center is advertising a promotional plushie offer when customers preorder the next mainline Pokémon game, Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which will release in Fall of this year. Fans who preorder through the Pokémon Center will randomly receive one of three plushes from the popular Sitting Cuties line, either Chikorita, Totodile, or Tepig.
